Skeet & Trap Ranges

At the Sedalia Rod and Gun Club, we offer both Trap and Skeet shooting. This is a great way to hone your skills or just enjoy camaraderie with a little competition thrown in. The great thing about trap and skeet shooting is anyone can do it. It’s a sport that has no age or physical requirements. Men, women, the young and young at heart can stand side by side and experience the same rush of claiming a “dead” bird. You don’t even have to invest in any special equipment. That field shotgun you use for hunting one day is equally capable on the trap and skeet field the next day.

We have six trap ranges and one skeet field. We hold shoots on Wednesday’s and Sunday’s. The fields are open from 9 am to 3 pm on these days, however we remain open as long as someone wants to shoot. The cost per round is $4.00 for members and $5.00 for non-members. A round consists of 25 birds. A two round trap derby is held at 1PM for those who wish to participate. As with everything else, we just ask that you follow the Range Rules so everyone has a great time.

If you’ve ever been interested in participating in a shoot or just curious as to what all the fuss is about, we encourage you to come on out and take a shot…literally! Many of our shooters, members and non-members alike, would be happy to answer your questions and explain the rules of the game to you. You never know, you just may find your next favorite passion and make a few friends along the way.
